Dan had a naming contest and liked Tom's name best.

Tom is officially the God father to the Dog Father. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Beat the tar out of it, that is what it was made for

If I haven't said it "Welcome to the Yard"

Nice score!! I just sold off my last dogfather - it's a heck of a blade but I need money to score some other stuff that's coming down the pipeline...

I'm still hoping to snag a dogfather in BAMA CLAY at some point. THAT would be a keeper, and never leave my grubby little hands.

Congrats on scoring a classic. I was trying to remember when the last time was that I used my Dogfather. It was March of this year. I had left the Christmas tree outside (and out of sight) after we took it down and forgotten about it. I threw it in the back of the ATV trailer and hauled to the recycle area and promptly denuded and chopped our Christmas tree into small pieces. Unfortunately, the Dogfather is such a good chopper it only took me 10 minutes.

It started here

Quickly went to here

And ended here

I have a "sterile" DFCG too. I didn't strip mine. The wear on the coating makes it look much more loved. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Fun blade isn't it? A half knife/half hatchet/half logsplitter mutant.

Miles, your DF looks great and I bet you get many years of enjoyment out of it. I just recently got my first, a DDF thanks to a great JYD dog here. The feel in hand is something else, but you already know that!
