I liike the sr101 steel the only infi I own is the s5 and the biggest sr77 knife I own is the yg. sr101 is used for everything. the battle rat is my big knife, chopweiler for a shorter knife and the swamp warden is my small knife. all are users but the chopweiler and yg see the most use.

I appreciate the time you took to do the review. I know I liked my LE better than the CG S5 so I used my CG to acquire another blade made by Busse. I have to say that I do like the SR101 just fine though.
Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

Nice review. You can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks for the realistic review Crux.
I prefer my LE mainly because of the satin finish. If Dan had released a Scrapper 5 in SR101 with a satin finish and no LE numbers I would have been just as happy. Maybe future knives from Scrap Yard will have that option.

Cool comparison! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
The S5 is quickly gaining ground on the DFLE as far as my favorite Scrapper goes. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I don't think it'll ever overtake it though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

If Dan had released a Scrapper 5 in SR101 with a satin finish and no LE numbers I would have been just as happy. Maybe future knives from Scrap Yard will have that option. After using and abusing the m9le in satin SR101, I don't think I would buy another satin SR101 knife any time soon. It's an awesome blade, but it definitely gets rust stained pretty easily. I think I'd prefer my SR101 coated from here on out. It might even be worse than 1095 in regards to rusting, and every single piece of 1095 I own is coated, for good reason.
