Well I have been a real big fan of the Seiko Divers, still am actually. But I put mine up for sale. It had been modded to the max. Anyway, I actually think I am going to go back to a quartz watch.

Here is my latest purchase: It is Solar/Atomic and it measures everything: temp, bar pressure, altitude, heading...and monitors tides, moon phase, etc, etc. Link to read more about it is here: http://www.bluedial.com/paw1500gb-3.htm I got a Pathfinder a few months ago at Costco. It's not the newest like yours is. It keeps time accurately measured against a Casio that has Atomic Timekeeping. The solar battery on the previously mentioned watch works very well, I've had it for a couple of years and it's never stopped even when it's been in the drawer for months at a time. The barometer on the Pathfinder is accurate , I check it against the weather channel when I get up in the AM. Enjoy Man that watch measures everything! I'm fond of Luminox myself. I have a 3900 series watch and its fabulous. It doesnt measure any fancy stuff but then again I dont have to push any buttons for illumination either <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
That's what she said!

Back in the late '80s I was destroying Casio G-shocks to the tune of at least 1, sometimes 2 a year. Finally was able to get a Rolex Submariner used at less than half price. That was in 1988. Been using it since then with no problems. Now my $50.00 oyster (yes it IS real) was built in 1954 or 1955 and still keeps excellent time. Wouldn't go to another brand for nothing.

Skunk, find me one for 50 that really keeps time and I won't either!

This is my favorite watch for the price. It is solar powered, gets a signal from an atomic clock everyday and stays within thousandths of a second of dead on in all but the most obscure regions of the earth. Even when it isn't getting a signal, it is as accurate as any other watch you can find. Plus, it is G-Shock and I can personally attest that they are as tough as nails. This is what a watch would be if Scrap Yard was in that business. http://en.item.rakuten.com/menet/mtg-1100b-1ajf/

Dang you JJ. That has got to be the nicest Casio I have ever seen. Mine is this one: Mine takes a beating daily, so I too vouch for their toughness.
