Did Collins make the S/F Machete Vic? Do you have any pic's? I don't know of one called S/F made by Collins. I think that any knife that says "Special Forces" is suspect anyway. You see it on cheap junk as a sales gimmick. I have the Worden SF machete by Ontario. I don't know if any SF people ever used those or not. I much prefer an ordinary machete. The reason I like Collins machetes so much is the spring steel they used. You never see one with a broken blade. They are a bit thicker and heavier than the Tramontinas, but more flexible than the Ontarios. When I would have to take a crew and clear areas with the city I worked for, we would always get the Collins machetes from the local hardware store. None got broken, but many were stolen. Collins was the choice of local surveyors as well. In my opinion, they were the best ever made and have no equals. Now if Jerry makes one in INFI, like a 14" Bushwacker, Collins will have met its match for sure.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I've been going back and for as to whether I should actually pick up a BWBM. It's the same size as both my Becker 9 and Spyderco/Hossom Forester, and there's not much I can think of that a Busse version would do better than either of those (except for just about everything, in small increments). At the same time, it's not out of the question that I might some day be going through the stash of fixed blades, and want a thinned out Battle Mistress. Ahh choices.

I was hoping for a longer Bushwacker. I have plenty of 9" to 10" blades that are light enough to do "bush whacking", two M9s, DFLE, Ontario SP5, Becker BK-9, Ranger RD9, RTAK, RTAK II, Condor Inca knife and more. An INFI Machete is my grail knife. But then, I love machetes and collect them. Light and fast is what I like.

The combat grade models measure about .248" with the coating. You could always thin it out, and put your awesome convex edge on it.

i would like the option to choose the thickness. That would give those who want a thin mistress the chance to get one, and those who like fatties to get that version. With all the options on the tankbuster, who knows what options could be availible.

I sure hope the BWBM is 3/16" thick, if it is it will be a sweet blade.
