There is definitely a possibility of Bug-eyed critters! The thing is.. I like to hack on wood.
I've just never used a knife for that till now.(s5le)
I was just wondering if the opinion is that this is a really incredibly functional hacker due to the infi or more of a safe queen?

I think of all the Battle Mistresses made, the Bushwacker Mistress is the most practical and is a true user. Wauseon has come out with some nice lighter big knives lately that I really like. The DFLE, M9LE, M9CG and this new BW are all practical bush knives made to be used and carried, IMO. I didn't need one. My DFLE does just fine as a "bushwacker", but I have been wanting Jerry to do a thinner big blade for a long time, and I just had to have this one. No, an INFI bushwacker won't necessarily work any better than the others. But it will be darned near indestructible and has to be the finest steel ever put into a machete type knife.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

The Halloween Mistress is definitely the stand out option. I was expecting the LE handle to be snake skin or some other multi color.

I've already sent an email to Garth to ask how much it would cost me to get the spa treatment applied before the knife even ships out to me, and get the right color put on it. We'll see what he says.

I want one of these, but I'm not a fan of any of the available colors...
I'll be interested to hear what Garth has to say. I contacted Amy-O to ask if I could order desert sand and/or bama clay as a coating option, and if so how much would it cost. She responded that they could only take orders for the handle/coating colors listed. Your approach through Garth is slightly different, although it sounded like they're pretty well slammed right now, so your answer may be the same. I've found both green and tanker gray with black Micarta to be good combinations, and of course there's muddy or sage with tan Micarta. I suppose I'm getting spoiled by "exotic" colors, but if I spend that much on a pre-order, I want what I want.

There is nothing wrong with being spoiled with the exotic colours, specially for the price. I was really hoping they were going to offer camo.

They're different in exactly the way you described. Moss is a textured green with black specs appearing where dimples occur; Jungle green is a homogeneous green coating as on: Busse Combat blade finishes . Jungle green is brighter than olive drab, and is a fairly smooth, non-glossy finish -- it's not a crinkle coating (see the black and muddy), but may have some texture if you look closely; I suppose it could be called flat.

Thanks for the response Jim. I took a chance buying a moss coated blade thinking it was a mono color, but I was pleasantly surprised the moss's colors. It reminds me of marbling.

You might also like Bama Clay, which is the same sort of coating as Moss, but with a red base instead of green.

I sprang for a basic black micarta/black. It should be a great user.
