Has anyone done a mustard or vinegar patina on SR101. I have on 5160 and 1095 and it comes out great, but I dont recall ever seeing SR101 with a patina. I have a M9 LE that I am considering putting a patina on.

SR101 gets a patina just by looking at it on a humid day. But vinegar or kitchen use will do it even faster. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SRKW/patina001-3.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SRKW/ratmandu004.jpg)
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Nice pictures and thanks for the info. Have you noticed the patina protecting the steel of do you still get small areas of orange oxydation on the blade?

I think it rusts less easily, but it still will rust. Best use a little oil now and then.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
