It took me awhile but I just bought one today. I was checking blade forums and ebay religiously.

Hi, before I say anything else, I want to say that I fell in love with these bad boys within a second after my heart beat!!!

Im a young lover(1992) toward knives, and I enjoy them by just looking, sometimes using, and sometimes just by knowing some people around me who uses knives daily. haha. I just started actually using knives as a tool instead of something to glance at to enjoy the light reflexion.

I loved folders untill I got to know RATs, Busse, Blackjacks, BRTK, and so many others to name. But the Scrap Yard caught my eyes the best. I love the design, and the price as well . Even though I'm still in HS( when I came to US, they put me in 2 years behind.), I think I want to actually work out my budgets, and save up to buy decent amount of Scrap Yards. So far, my eyes are on Yard Keeper and Dumpster Mutt DC.

I love the knives but it seems like there is not much of an inventory. I cant find the knives . If it is allowed, and possible, please recommend me the ways of getting my hands on Scrap Yard.

Thank you

Welcome to the Yard

Jerry and I both started a love for knives when we were 5 and 7 years old. it started with my dad teaching us Mumblety-peg and it goes from there

If forums were around then I am sure we would have been all over it. Any knowledge level is welcome

Enjoy the Yard

Dumpster Dan

Hello! It seems that we all are on the prowl for Dan's work! Your best bet is to look on the seconday market for past releases and keep your eye out here for new releases.

Inside each knife is a new adventure waiting to be had...maybe some blood and probably some suture.

Welcome aboard DogsBeHowling, you have come to the right place quickly. The Busse family knives will be one of your last stops for knives, they will literally last you a lifetime and then some.

Welcome to the yard DBH. New knives are released by SY rather sporadically and then are available to the public for 4-6 weeks. You can also check BladeForum and EBay for SY knives that are no longer available. Good luck!

Welcome to the yard. I'm sure you'll be told this a million times but there should be a new knife out in... wait for it... Two Weeks.

Welcome... I am relatively new here as well and after months of annnnnnticipation, I just finally received my first steel from SY. It was well worth the wait. I would like to say that now that I finally have some of this steel that I am now more patient...but I would be lying.

I have learned a lot from this forum over the past months and am currently figuring out how to finance this habit

Welcome!
I remember feeling the exact same way and then my impatience got the better of me and I bought some knives elsewhere. I came back to the Yard because the knives I purchased were not to the level I had hoped, I waited patiently and when the SOD was released I bought one and waited some more. I can't say enough about what it was like receiving it but since then I have purchased 7 other bussekin and can't wait to keep adding to the collection. These knives and this forum are about more than just super steel, for many(including myself) it is another family and home.

Welcome to the Yard. When I first found SYKCO all my dreams had come true, they had every style knife I wanted, then I found out how the purchase process worked. I was sad, but I kept watching. Let me tell you it is worth the wait. The system here works and between offerings all the dogs chat and have great advice. Stick around and enjoy the wait, you'll learn a lot.
