The Battle Mistress is a grail knife to me, and with the prices continually rising, it may always be a grail knife out of my reach!
It was a grail knife for me, too. But BMs have been out of reach since I discovered Bussekin knives back in early-2004. I figured it just wasn't in my cards to ever own a big Bussekin chopper . . . until the Dog Father came along, that is. Now that I've got a DFCG that I bought from the factory for $139.95, I no longer have a desire to buy a Battle Mistress. The Dog Father is all the bit Bussekin chopper I'll ever need . . . and then some.

Yeah, I see what your saying. I have the DFCG and DFLE, so I've pretty much got Busse kin choppers covered. I'd just like a full tang micart/g10 handled one. I remember back in the day, about 13 years ago when I discovered Busse Combat. I think the Battle Mistress and INFI were new to the knife industry. I still have the old magazine that I saw a review in. Even back then in the mid 90's the Battle Mistress was $300. Too much for me then, and at over $400 now, too much for me now! With the elaborate handle designs and what seems to be a growing blade size, I don't think the Battle Mistress will ever be in the cards for me. That's why I hope that a CG M9 is released in the Swamp Store. I probably have a knife or two I'd be willing to give up to help fund one of those!

Yeah, the M9CG addressed the only weakness of the M9LE, by giving it a beefier tip. The saber grind honestly didn't seem to change the feel of the knife in hand all that much, so I could take it or leave it.

Give me a coated full flat ground M9, with the M9CG's tip, and I'd be all over it. I just like full flat better than saber.
