The area in your pics must be under two feet of snow from the weather report I heard!

I have two American Bulldogs and I get the same reaction from people when I walk them in public. Why is Angel on a leash? Can't you let her free in the outback?

Here is one of my pics of a Colorado marmot...

It is very funny you should ask about Angel being on a leash. She has a real strong prey drive. If it is furry and moves, she wants to chase and kill it. Because others, who can’t control their animals let their dogs run free I keep mine on a leash. Funny thing is that she got attacked and mauled on this trip. Basically my wife and I hiked six miles, dog got attacked by an unleashed dog, I broke it up...inspected damage. Dog looked ok so we hiked another mile. Getting to our spot I realize I’m covered in blood. Upon checking angel out she had two real deep punctures from the other dog's canines on her side. She was dripping blood, heavily and flowing. You can’t sleep out there with a bleeding animal. Had to re-shoulder all my stuff and hike back out. Needless to say I was not pleased. I really believe angel would hike until she dies and never complain. These dogs can take pain. You might wonder how I could hike another mile with a very injured dog. She never once, not once let on she was anything but anxious to continue.
So with the leash. . . I figure if my dog kills yours when your dog isn’t on a leash I’ll see you in court.

Great pics, nice looking pooch too.

I am glad to hear you have good control of Angel, my dog in his age is getting more aggressive with other larger dogs(i know i should do something about it). I go hiking a lot and am getting tired of people not having control of their dogs whether they are on a leash or not, and having the owners nonchalantly tell me it's ok their dog is friendly. That is not to say mine is never off leash, I am just really careful.
