This might be a useless thread.

but I really wanted to see what you guys are expecting from SY for next release.

I personally want to see a knife that is from 5.5"~7.5"

I love the design of SOD, but seems as if it's hard to find one.

So, what do you think will saticify you the most?

I've seen SOD's on eBay in recent weeks.

When searching there always put in several search terms, like "Scrap Yard", "Scrapyard", "Busse", etc, as listings vary.

In addition to eBay, Bladeforums.com has an active trader section where Bussekin knives sell like hotcakes...it's a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

I'll take what ever Dan releases...I'm a junkie <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Thanks, I was actually looking at that few minutes ago.

I really dont worry about surface rust since it can be cleaned.

I might try to get it if people dont jump on it.

it would probably come off pretty easily with an scotch brite pad and some barkeepers friend. Barkeepers friend works insanely well

I really don't want to see myself keeping knives super clean that were born to be true users.
It shows true beauty when it's in the field with time-line all over it.

you're right on the money there...funny though, when I first got in to Busse-kin knives...the second knife I bought was an overpriced Chopweiler on ebay. It was in new condition, but when I got it...a piece of the coating flaked off with just a thumbnail scratch. I had a mini-conniption fit until some folks in the swamp set me straight....now with the exception of a Safari Skinner that I'm still deciding if I want to keep...ALL my knives are users

Haha. To me, there is three different kinds of knives.
one being knives that were made for users
two being knives that were made for collection purpose
three being knives that were made for users but the beauty those posesses making it a collect worth knives.

I just love the look of a user when it is properly handled to show the beauty.
