I for, the most part, prefer non-serrated edges, but their benefit in cutting something very tough, very quickly, is hard to leave behind. Since I carry multiple blades with me most of the time, one of them has partial serrations. When you need it, its nice to have.

I love serrations because they cut great.
The only thing I don't like about them is that they are hard to sharpen.

I normally don't like serrations but that is one fine looking knife! My sentiments exactly.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they are hard to sharpen. Not with a Sharpmaker. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the replies Dogs. I feel very fortunate to have scored it. I mentioned in the skelescrapper thread that it should have serrations and most of the guys hated that idea. I was thinking of it more as a tool than a knife. But seeing as how i work in a scrapyard, i cant dream of being without serrations. You are'nt gonna cut half the stuff i cut without them, regardless of your sharpening skills. But now that i have the ultimate 'Scrapyard' scrapyard knife, she's almost to perty to take to work! Anyway, thanks guys. Regards, Mike
