I'll bet that many of our Dogs didn't realize that Maxwell Smart is an inspector for Scrap Yard! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> Personally, I prefer #99 myself! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I haven't had to use the Scrap Yard warrenty, but I have had plenty of communication with SYKCO. Always quick and helpful replys. The customer service is the best.

As a new guy here I love reading stuff like that! Alot of companies could learn a very valuable lesson by emulating the Bussekin companies. Treat your customers right, EXCEDE their expectations and they will remain loyal and keep coming back ... and so will their friends... and their friends...

CBC: I agree with ya on that. You may get a good product, but the (after the sale service), if needed, will make or break someone's satisfaction and willingness to buy again. I know it does mine.

MRpink-I agree that a knife (especially a top end knife) should come from the factory sharp, and I also agree its my responsiblity to MAINTAIN it after I recieve it. Thanks for the advice...Im always willing to learn more, but Im pretty comfortable with putting an edge on a knife. Just touched up the new S5LE after field dressing a deer, and cutting up an elk.
Thanks again to the Scrap Yard crew for standing behind your products.

Take care.

that's good to hear. my statement wasn't directed at you, but just knife user/addicts/us in general. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Its awesome that they took care of your problem just from a post on the forum. It is very hard to find customer service like that anymore.

It's the little details like answering posts on a thread like this that show a companies true committment to customers

Won't go into it in full but when I bought my Scrapper 5 I made a mistake on the shipping address which caused untold grief and delays. Anyway Renee held my hand throughout the trials and tribulations bestowed on me by the postal service. Long story short I got my knife and great customer service to boot.

In any transactions I have had with the Busse family I have been more than happy with the service I received. Great companies, excellent products and even better folk.
