If prior year festivities play out again...
A few weeks before blade there will be a post here, on the Swamp Rat forum and on the Busse forum at Bladeforums asking for RSVP's from Dogs/Rats/Hogs for the big Induction Dinner.
Also, there is usually a group of 30-50 guys/gals that get together on Thursday night with the Busse Crew. The past two years this has been at Fogo's in Buckhead. There is usually a post for this as well on Bladeforums for RSVP. The past two years there has been a special knife deal that night for attendees (Cultellus and Vex).
There are also nightly gatherings at the fountain of the Waverly Hotel.
Big fun!

One more thing, you can get a special VIP pass from Busse for the show that allows you early access on Friday morning. Busse gives these away, limited in number and first come first serve, so don't buy a ticket.

You want to stay at the Waverly Renaissance Hotel (I think that's what it's called) or within walking distance of there.

Word of advice for going to Blade, save your money until then, the deals you will find will blow you away and you'll regret not having more!
I've gone to Blade West and it's smaller yet spent every dollar I had available!
Private Klink (Tom) has gone and knows the procedure good, I'm sure he'll give you all the tips you need. So has ColdOne.
Take lots of pictures for us (bear hugging Dan and Jerry) and all the sweet steel you'll be drooling over

I walked out of BLADE Atlanta with...
2 SoD's 2 Regulators 2 High Streets mud puppy vex NMSFNO
and oh yeah... a killa zilla
And that's not counting the stuff I bought as a proxy
I'm hoping BLADE will be more like BLADE West this year - BLADE Atlanta was absolutely loaded with crazy custom shop pieces, and a lot of the special offerings were the obnoxiously fat stuff - porky parkway's and inactive duty's and whatever other silly stuff the hogs drool over.
Blade West, and Knob Creek, had way more old school, normal stuff, and not as much of the bone-handled custom shop type stuff. The old school normal blades are what catch my eye - stuff that I want to own to beat on, not put in a safe, but it costs too much dough on the secondary market. Here's hoping Jerry BRINGS IT with some old school goodness. Preferably in Bama Clay

I have been wondering about the same thing, really interested in attending BLADE. How do you even get tickets, how much are they, and how far in advance do you have to plan?

You can buy tickets at the door, it's around 20 bucks for a weekend pass, if I remember right. Much cheaper with the VIP passes that Busse, Swamp Rat, and Scrap Yard hand out. How far in advance you have to plan depends completely on your own travel needs. I live less than half an hour from the cobb galleria, so I can pretty much show up, grab a ticket, and start buying knives
