Just like others have said I think the Bushwacker is more practical.
I'd get the bushwacker unless you can afford both, then I'd get the waki first then get the BW later.

I love my waki....it's a ton of fun, but not very practical. I've chopped a few pumpkins, slashed a few corn stalks and took off a few limbs from an apple tree, but I think the Bushwacker, if you only could have one, would be a more logical purchase. Not that much logic goes in to buying Busse-kin knives....
there's no logic to the sickness True enough. We are knife knuts. A machete, SAK, and a cheap Mora will do all that most of us ever do with a knife. But we want MORE! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Both the Waki and the Bushwacker are more useful than some of the super heavy knives. ain't that the truth. I'd rather carry a waki than a FFBM - at least the waki has the reach for zombie slaying <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Get the Waki.
I say that because it is great value for money and one of the most fun blades I have to use. The other reason is the Bushwacker has only just gone up for sale so it'll be a while before you can actually get one and hence be charged for it. By that time you can have had a good play with the Waki, decided if you want to keep it and if not you can sell it on to fund the Bushwacker.

I will go against the grain....I voted Waki..... it is practical for all kinds of chores and will serve as a great zombie/personal protection blade. Yea it is bigger but hey...... size matters right! LOL

waki. it's so unique. plenty of bowies out there to replace the mistress on the cheap, but not the waki.
also, practicality is a terrible reason to buy infi. also doubt it's your first knife or you "need" either, so get the one that's harder to substitute for.
finally, the BWBM just went on sale, will be for a good period, then will disappear and be available later at the company store. you have plenty of time to change your mind, sell the waki, and use the proceeds on your mistress if it must only be one.

Do you guys who have the Waki use it or is it more of a novelty? Is it the best of the best at anything chopping, clearing, or is it just a beauty? (and it is one heck of a good looking blade imho)

I was suppose to go as the unit armorer, so packing light isn't an issue. My 1st Sgt also told me and "you take whatever helps". I know of a number of people who deployed with extras, but we won't go there any further. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
