Regardless, I do not understand why it is this way and would prefer it to be otherwise.

Regardless, I do not understand why it is this way.

I gave up trying to understand it about two minutes after I waked in to BLADE Atlanta - it's just the way Jerry does things. He's got enough money from selling ridiculously expensive knives that he can have things his way.

And honestly, his way can be pretty fun, if you don't let yourself get upset when you miss out on something you like. The ganzaa's and the trough at BLADE are just plain FUN. I thought the idea of the trough was one of the dumbest things I'd ever heard, until I experienced it in person. There's a lot of joking about the cutthroat nature and the hog treachery, but there is also a crazy cool group of HOGS who are just a lot of fun to deal with.

If Jerry didn't market things the way he does, and have all the special releases and hard-to-snag goodies, the community wouldn't be what it is, either. He's built up this fan base by doing things his way, and it has made these three companies stretch a lot farther than just some guys with CNC machines and grinders pumping out sharp objects from an assembly line.

Are they numbered as well?

Not sure about the numbering, but he said the price was MORE than the LE's went for. I was thinking they would be a discounted INFI version but looks like maybe the HOGS will have to pay extra for not paying attention to the yard

Seems a couple of prices on things were pretty high at this show. I shudder to think how much those AK/Ruck matched sets cost.

funny i think id have to agree with you there. As frustrating as it is sometimes, the search is kinda fun.
As a group we all can attest to any particular travel or "journey" that led us to any of our knives we may have had a hard time coming across, and we all congratulate one another when we score a "grail".
Seems Jerry and family have really bred a strange type of camaraderie that i dont other companies have...
Take RAT for instance (NOT critisizing in any fashion). Im dying to own an izula and an RC-3, why havent i gotten them yet? Im waiting for the next release (from dan that is )
The RAT's will always be there, these will not.

"You Snooze , You lose" is something i guess we can all relate to.

I personally havent been around for long at all but i see how funny it is how we all huddle at our computers as soon as the blade is announced and how excited we all get as to how were gonna use them and stuff... i havent seen that anywhere else to be honest.

On the other hand i guess any other company could say that if they were to annouce a new blade but we all know how difficult it is to get some of our "grails"

I dunno... i might be rambling but i hope i was able to get my point across.

Long live the yard!
