Sucks but like Sumo said, it can be for the best sometimes. I almost quit my job a week ago. Whatever it is that I accomplish there is just not worth being miserable and I know it. So yup! I understand. I hope things start looking up soon.

Sucks that you lost your job...Good luck finding another one- hopefully, you can find one that is better than the one you lost.

Best of luck dude, I hope the gamble works out for you, my wife took the same plunge recently.
For the rest of you: The best way out of anything like this is to spend money that will stay in the country, keep sending your hard earned $$ to companies like the Yard who does their work in the US with American workers (same goes for people in other countries, pay companies who are not selling you out.)
And don't forget to punish companies who are off-shoring, they need to learn that they cannot lay off your consumers and still expect them to pay for the product.
OK, I'll get off the soapbox

OK, I'll get off the soapbox On big-ticket items, I hear you. But I don't think I have the time to hunt for the few items in Wal-mart made 'anywhere' other than in China. Proud of my American made truck, motorcycle, and knives and guns! Pitbro, I am looking for a job as well. Fortunately, I have my military pension to keep me from starving... Good luck with your job hunt.

Working at a job that is not friendly sucks. I worked for 8 years with layoff happening every 3-6 months for the last 2 years of my employment there. I made it through all of them, but just got tired of the stress. I went to a smaller company thinking it would be different, they got acquired and 2 more rounds of layoff happened. Go figure. Modern corporations leave something to be desired.
Good luck in finding work that "works" for you.

jobs that don't treat you right are the worst.
Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store, not a Government Agency.
