maybe like a trade in program for those who have the old ones? Offical test team members will be rewarded for their efforts. Dan So cool!

I'm not sure I understand your quetion, michelangelo. But if I've interepreted you correctly, you just need to wait for Dan to start selling the Regulators through the company store. You can keep watching for Dan to make the announcement here in the forumlike or you can check the store every so often to see if the knife is for sale yet. Here's the direct link to the store: http://shop.scrapyardknives.com/ Thanks a lot. I have several SY but I had never buyed one of them at the store, so I was unsure about the right way to do it. You're explanation is what I needed!

I just hope they tweaked the handle. I really can't tell ya why, the shape of the TT model just didn't do it for me.
Agree - it looks out of balance from a purely aesthetic perspective. However, seems most of the test team really like the way it performs and feels - and that is what counts. Feels like no other!

Italy has rules about what is acceptable to be imported. Weapons are forbidden. A shipper can fill out the paperwork deceptively, but risks losing the item, if confiscated at customs. The buyer, who generally prepays for the item, is also unhappy if the item is seized. E-bay sellers generally refuse to ship knives to Italy. You're right about weapons inportation, BUT knives are not considered weapons here in Italy, EXCEPT if the double edges (as a dagger i.e.). So, not a problem to buy knives in USA, in fact I buyed a lot of my knives in USA without any problems.

I tested mine and sent feedback. I wish I had followed ordawg1 lead and bought more than one. Hopefully I will have pics up soon of the one I just got off the Exchange.
Have I said how much I like this knife? Yep, I had my computer crash and lost my pics of it out on a walk-about and during Dove Season.

I can't say I'm as passionate as Bruce on the subject, I will say that I'd feel bad taking advantage of some "perk" when I didn't use the Reg I bought.
It was my choice, and the honest answer is that it had nothing to do with wanting to keep it nice. I could go into detail, but I'll say that I took the Reg on several outings with other people who weren't keen on waiting around for me to beat it up. It was my bad, I know it, but when winter rolled around it made it harder to go out. Plus, I live in a condo, which made it tough to even go in my backyard and hack up some trees.
Anyway, no excuses, I didn't use it and here we are. Like I said, if Dan offer's a discount for the Test Team I'll congratulate those that put in the effort and hard work, with no hard feelings. No hard feelings here. From what I figured out is that some bought more than one to mess with and safe queen. I know I saw some being sold on the secondary market and figured that none of them were tested out--just the way it is.

I tested the heck out of one, and then let a spare go on the secondary market, primarily to pay some unexpected bills. Now that I've seen the new version, I am sort of wishing I'd held onto the second one - I liked the full flat grind on the test team version A LOT.

I know I like the flat grind on the SODLE better than the sabre grind on the regular SOD.

When I got my SOD I debated over spending a bit more for the LE. I sometimes wish I had. But the CG version is still an amazing blade!
