I seem to recall having this conversation a little while back. There were Muks, and S5s (CGs in SR101 and LEs in INFI, which was a tremendous coups for the yard). Admittedly, that might not seem like a whole lot if you focus purely on what was available through the online store. However, there was more, the Lardoganza Desert Dog Fathers being one example. If you were fortunate enough to make it to one of the shows, there were S6s, Dumpster Mutts, black-handled Muks and Bird Dogs, etc...
So, in terms of number of different knife models released in the online store, 2009 hasn't been terribly impressive. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the volume of knives produced and sold was on-par or better than most years. My personal Scrap Yard purchases this year have been:
4 * Scrap Muk LEs (SY Store) 2 * BDLEs (Knob Creek - Spring 2009) 2 * SoD LEs (Knob Creek - Spring 2009) 12 * Scrapper 5 CGs (I traded one for 3 sheaths, so 11 remain) 2 * Desert Dog Fathers (LardoGanza) 5 * Scrapper 5 LEs (SY Store) 3 * Scrapper 6s (Knob Creek - Fall 2009)

That's very cute!! My Mom has been doing the Facebook "Grandma thing" with my nephew lately, prompting me to take note that when my siblings and I were growing up, having to buy film and get it developed meant taking pictures was a fairly special thing. Home video equipment was bulky and expensive, and the celluloid results required setting up a projector to watch silent movies; by the time my brother was growing up, tape camcorders were a reality, but they were still expensive. Now, good, dedicated digital cameras are small and quite reasonably priced -- even inexpensive cell phones have fairly decent video capability as a secondary function. Finally, look at how quick and easy it has become to transfer images and video over the Internet -- not so long ago, you'd have a second set of prints made and snail-mail them to Grandma, now just post them and send a link.
