From all of what I have gathered it really seems like the boss street is a piece of crap (too heavy, to thick, handle problems, lack of value apreciation, etc..)

I wouldn't go that far, Mr.WTF. The BOSS Street is a gorgeous blade that feels really good in hand, with versatile and comfortable handles.

If you like thick knives, or handle-heavy knives, you will love it. It's a classic Busse design, very similar to some old-school Busse's that sell for a whole lot of money.

Many of us just prefer our knives thinner and with less weight in the handles, and for that the BOSS St. isn't as suited to our needs.

We all also like to pick Busse knives apart, it keeps the posts going. That and no knife is perfect.

With the saber grind and its thick spine the S5 may end up being very close to the same overall grind angle as the Boss Streets. Without having the both in hand it would be hard to know how accurate this is but it looks like they will be similar. At the moment a new condition S5 Le is likely to cost more than the Boss Streets. For me the full flat grind is a better grind for those who actually use their knives <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Stripping the coating will thin it out a bit. The best thing about that knife is if you get it in your hands and decide you do not like it before trying it out it will not likely loose any value and can be resold for what you invested into it.
