I wonder how the boss street compares against the dumpster mutt for a bushcraft survival knife.

They are both too thick for a bushcraft knife.

You keep asking if the Boss Street would make a good "bushcraft" knife. But I think the only person who can answer that is you.
I've used my SOD for woods craft (fire making and camp chores) and it works great. It splits wood, makes feather sticks and kindling as well as tinder very well. You may prefer a smaller blade, but that is personal preference. No one can tell me that a 1/4 inch thick, 7 1/2 inch bladed knife won't work as a "buchcraft" knife.
Like Bruce said, it's time for you to decide for yourself, and the best way is to get out there and try a few different blades and see what you like.
Good luck bro! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Yes. I love mine. And you've gathered enough facts to be able to make a reasoned decision. I'd suggest it's time to make up your mind. Make up my mind about what? I already bought it. Im just anxious for it to come in the mail, you know? For some reason I think you do know XD

You will always find a lot of opinions and it's good to do a ton of research especially if you're spending a lot of dough (and for me, these knives are a lot of dough!)
But I've learned at the end of the day MY OWN experience is what matters most.
And by the way, I'm waiting on a couple of knives myself. It's hard to wait. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
But Bussekin are worth it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
