I own both plus the LE versions. I prefer the S6- but the SOD is also great. Welcome to the yard -Happy Holidays

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
I've been sitting on the couch off and on moving both knives into various grips in my hand -- my wife is really something special to put up with me.
Thank you too for the input regarding your opinions on capabilities / limitations of the S6 and SOD.
See you all around the Yard!

Welcome to the Yard and the addiction. My SoD is a great camp knife and well with my S5LE. I dont have an S6 to compare it to, but if you want a perfect allarounder wait till the Regulator comes out. Depending on how Dan tweaks it, this could bet the greatest blade ever. My Test Team version is much goto blade!
Hope I didn't say to much, my pledge of secrecy isn't up yet.

A big +1 for the regulator - I love my sod too, but the regulator is the blade I'm bringing with me to visit family for Xmas. It will split your firewood, slay a zombie, and pry open a car door, all before breakfast.

Greetings all.
Stanley_White here a new member of the Scrap Yard Forums.
I recently scored my first two Scrapyard Knives those being a Scrapper 6 and Son of Dogfather. To say I am impressed would be a understatement.
For anyone who owns both of these knives do you find one more mission capable then the other based upon the differences in size / balance etc?
Initially I find the Scrapper 6 more balanced and much more comfortable to choke up on for fine work as the choil seems more rounded then the SOD and it does not have the slight hump on the back of the blade near the guard as the SOD does.
The SOD seems like the blade stays thicker closer to the point then the S6 which would make it better for prying. Additionally, the SOD's forward balance would be superior for hacking.
Comparing the two -- what are the thoughts of the experts here at the Yard?
Thank you for your time and Merry Christmas!
