Oh yeah, I also very much like the clean / family friendly atmosphere here. Forums with page long rants devoid of value and full of vulgarity do not appeal to me.

Yesterday morning we had a Knives Forum side of the house post count of 422,717 and today we are at 422,982. Well we lost our 400+ post days, we only got 265 for the last 24 hours. Still all in all not to bad. At least it DID go up.

The DC Page count went from a low yesterday morning of 227 pages to 233. An increase of 6 pages. Not our best day but there was some good stuff there.

And the complete forum post count has gone from 443,042 just a mear 24 hours ago to 443,315 for an increase of 273 posts. Again, we HAVE made progress and that is the goal.

Ok, using these numbers of 443,315 and taking them away from a half a million that gives us 56,685 posts to go. And considering how we now have 91 days to go, we need to average 622.912 posts per day to get to a half a Million by January 1, 2011. Hey, it MIGHT look like an impossible task, but it's not. Actually all we gotta do is keep on posting and one day we WILL get there. Besides, this will give DAN longer to think up something really really cool for the Celebration!

Ok, now on to the more mundane reason for this thread.

The Knives Forum side of the house is now setting at a more comfortable 423,701 posts. Won't be long till that side of the House breaks into the 424K arena!

The Death chat has now skyrocketed to a total of 259 pages, up from 233 just this time yesterday morning, for a total page count increase of 26 PAGES! Hoorah! as "They" (you know who you are) say!

And the Total forum post count is, hold it, hold it, 444,040 POSTS!!! YEAH, we've stepped up to the next higher rung on the ladder. Just yesterday morning the post count was at 443,315 for a total forum post count increase of 725 posts! Man, that is about as close to a 1000 post day as I can remember! MAN, that's gonna bring us closer to our goal. Speaking of which...

If we take todays post count away from our goal that leaves us with 55,960 posts to go. So (counting today), that leaves us with 91 days to go until 01/01/11 and using that 91 days we need to average 614.945 posts per day to reach our goal by the end of the year. Man IF we could have several more days like this one, PIECE OF CAKE!

Looks like Dan better get his thinkin Cap put on straight cause he's gonna need some kind of idea pretty quick!

Ok, a quick and dirty update.

The Knives forum count is now at 423,928 posts.

The ZDC page count has now gone up to 266 pages.

The TOTAL forum page count now sets at 444,274 posts.

Using the above number and subtracting it from 500K we have 55,727 posts left before we hit the Half a Million mark. Or looking at another way, we have to average 619.1888 posts per day to get there before 01-01-11

WOW! I'm off for a couple days and you guys get goin!

And for (one of) the moment we have all been waiting for... the TOTAL site post count has gone all with way up to 445,110 up from 444,274 for a total increase of 833 posts! Almost another thousand under the bridge!

SO,that gives us just 54,890 more posts to go in 87 days so that means we need to AVERAGE 630.919 posts per day. Sounds like we need to get some mega posting days going. We CAN do it, Ain't nothin tougher than a Junk Yard Dog!
