only to be insulted by several of the respondents <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />.
I was one of those big, mean, nasty men who "insulted" him.
He was blaming the blade for his lack of ability to sharpen it. Stainless is hard to sharpen - it's a well known fact. That's not Strider's fault, that's the guy's fault for buying a knife and not doing his homework first.
154CM is hard to sharpen too, especially the Busse version. If someone decided he wanted to get rid of his Scrap Yard's to buy all Rat's, since they are 1095, and he trashed Scrap Yard for his inability to put an edge on a known hard-to-sharpen steel, I would give him grief for that too.
I don't even like Strider, but don't blame the steel if you don't have the skill to sharpen it. If he had said "I have a strider that doesn't fit my needs, and I'd like to pick up a Busse because I hear INFI is easy to sharpen", I wouldn't have a problem with it - but he was bashing a company unfairly, due to his own lack of knowledge, and I think that sucks.
