Yeah but he's not a tree hugger. Bet he puts the peta folks into a kanipsion fit! I LOVE it. Dont' get me wrong, I believe in conservation and not abusing animals, but I mean, those folks are sometimes out there!
Uncle Ted believes more in conservation than PETA does. He has thousands of acres of land where he keeps species from going extinct.
It may actually surprise you that PETA does not believe in "every animal's right to live", they will "rescue" lab animals, dogs and cats and keep them in their own shelter in VA, where over 80% of them gets put down. The founder of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, used to work as a dog catcher and is not afraid to say in public interviews that she would come in early in the morning to put down dogs and cats, personally. There are plenty of interviews with her, use google.
They don't believe in no-kill animal shelters (I happen to volunteer for one), and they would rather kill an animal than let you have it as a pet. They also fund a lot of violent "animal rights" groups (the same caliber of people as those who kills abortion doctors), with their more than $30 million/year tax free income. Funny that they can't use that money to keep animals they "rescue" alive until they can be adopted by a good home.. All this has to be public because they are a tax exempt organization, again, google is your friend.
