Maybe press to fit. If you put the blade in the freezer and heat the guard it will go on easier. But this means you'd be working with VERY tight tolerances. It's something I'll have to mess around with.

That was my thought too. Done that with some rifle brls.

i haven't liked that rubber guard since i laid eyes on it. does nothing but interfere, won't "guard" a thing, and looks terrible.

Definitely not against a Waki <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

At first I was disappointed that it is no longer full flat ground but then I noticed that the saber grind reduced the price. In a knife this size, I am not so worried about a thin flat grind because I am not going to be slicing up apples with it. If it reduces the price, it is worth it IMHO.

When compared to the SOD knife, it is thinner and looks like a better stabber. I don't really have a use for a stabbing knife. I don't really have a use for it but I have been waiting for so long I am going to buy one anyway.

The SOD is a slasher and gapper, not a stabber. The Regulator has that over the SOD for sure.

Yes, I did this with some helicopter (CH-53D Sea Stallion, Semper Fi) parts.

I remember they stored some parts in the freezer in the line shack when I was in HMH-461 at MCAS New River N.C.
Ahhh the memories.

It's better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it.

Yep, that's what our freezer was for at 363.

I used an old CO2 fire extinguisher to help press in a threadless headset on my old Marin mountain bike. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
