I have liked all SYK designs. Some appeal to me more than others. But I figure Dan knows more than I do. There must be good reasoning to the madness. Anyways,

I have not read every post on this thread, What gun is that with the new Regulator? Pretty shiny. No EBR there.

Looks like a FAL of some sort.

I just received my Scrapyard SpecOps 6" sheath and I'll be dogged if it doesn't fit my TT Reg perfectly!

Sure nuff is. It's listed as 'Sheath for 6" knives' for $17.95.

It's not a tight squeeze, but it definitely doesn't rattle. The blade slips all the way to the handle. With the velcro latch at the top you're good to go in my opinion! I would think that the Mil Reg, with saber grind, will also fit in that thing.

BTW, that is a mighty nice cordura set-up too! Thanks for stocking them Big Dog! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Remember the production Regulator has a saber grind and not flat. The sheath mentioned above may or may not fit?

The "sheath for 6" knives" is really easy to re-shape, the plastic inside is softer and molds at a lower temperature than kydex. I re-shaped mine to fit an SJTAC without about two minutes of work. It should be absolutely no problem to hit the insert with a hair dryer, squeeze, and have a perfect fit, for either the test team or mil overrun versions.

However, I thought I remembered putting my Regulator in the 6" sheath when it arrived, out of curiosity, and having the tip poking out past the plastic insert. I could be mistaken, it's been a while, and now that I've molded the insert to fit the SJTAC, the Regulator won't fit anymore to test it.

I'm curious what the differences will be on the regulator-specific sheath that's being offered.
