I have always had my suspicions about a Jerry Dan sibling rivalry.

I prefer my Scrap Yards also. I like many of the Busse knives but for Price/Performance I come back to SYKCO.

I know I can get a new Bushwhacker but I keep looking for a DFLE for less that I think can perform as well

I understand. I want a DFLE to go along with the rest of the SY LE that I have came up with. I love the flat grind in real world use, next the corrugated for use, followed by the saber grind.

I have a DFLE and it is awesome IMO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Probably my favorite of all Bussekin type choppers. Then again- I love all the LE versions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> All around my favorite is the BDLE and of course the Muk. I own several Muks and am not parting with any at this point. Jeff made awesome pants for my Muk and that makes it even more impressive. Love them LEs <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well.. Eric is getting 3 Rats in the store soon.. 3 different sizes I believe. Could be a sign of things to come.

So if we're lucky, this will be extended to the entire group <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
The announcement will provide a unique offer that should more than please the Yard.
From Dan's OP on Regulator news.Gotta be 3 for the dogs too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Didn't Dan have his own shop a few years ago? And then moved closer to Busse so that he would have more help, and be able to make more knives?

Jerry has the large shop with all the upper line Busse knives. Swamp gets the kitchen and they produce SY out of a small corner bathroom ( JK) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Oh I thought Dan forged them in a camp fire while on the run from the FBI like Benicio Del Toro in The Hunted.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.

Keep the Faith Brothers! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Waiting is difficult for all of us, and I don't know why we haven't heard ANYTHING from Dan lately, but don't despair. At a time when many companies fold, the Busse group soars. They know how to make great products, and how to market them successfully. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I appreciate the kind words.

The Yards should remember that we produce our own knives and we gain a lower cost of overhead by using the same facilities as Busse...not machinery or people. I moved from Texas to save a bunch on not shipping scrap across country.

The slight delay in the Regulator involves a number of activities that go into the production while keeping the price point low for you Dogs. ScrapYard is all about the "Performance to Price Ratio" and if I can save you $5.00 or $10.00 I will do it.

It will be worth the wait, I promise

Dan
