I am just hoping the main man raises the limit to 5 for TT guys . I have all my friends that have seen these and if I can only order 3 I am going to have some disappointed folks . Oh well- I guess I could quit being cheap and just pony up the extra- it ain't that bad for sure .It's just that 100 bucks for knife and pants looks very nice indeed

Good point Tom - they work for me around here and see the knives and are always interested. I will mention it to them. But- these knives do make great gifts as it is something they can't get anywhere else . Plus- you sure can't beat the price or quality IMO. Hey- looks like a bunch of great action on the board tnight - I like it-Thanks

Glad to see the moderators put an end to the silly arguing about the Regulator guard. It was getting really old. Now maybe we can all get back to sane and civil discourse. Well, at least civil!

Neat of the guys at SY to offer these. I gotta say though I think I'll stick to the original.

To Reg or Dereg? That is the question!
Dan This is certainly the question (see how the new guy shamelessly kisses up to the Big Dawg)! I'm in for two Regulators, because as he said if I damage the handle while batoning then its operator error not a design flaw. I do baton wood A LOT while camping. I live in Southern Indiana and while car camping you have to purchase fire wood at the State or Federal Park Office (because of Emerald Ash Borers - invasive wood borne bug). As a result we're typically stuck with wood that wasn't stored properly, and is soaking wet. Therefore, batoning is a guaranteed necessity for a quick and easy fire. With 7.5" of blade I'll just exercise caution while performing said task. I hope this ^^^^ statement isn't a violation of rules as I see a lot of people getting Mod attention for discussing batoning. I simply want to explain why I'm selecting the standard model. Final analysis: [color:"red"]I'm getting TWO BRAND FREAKING NEW SCRAP YARD KNIVES![/color]

A-techt - discussing is one thing, arguing is another! And I'm ready for a few of these bad boys as well!

No problem!
One of the toughest things we Moderators have to do is actually ban someone, and only as a last resort. We both love having and being a part of the forum, and know how tough it would be to lose your forum priviledges. We don't want to be seen as "censors", etc. (I have been called MUCH worse! ), but Dan asked us to do a job and we WILL do it. Wouldn't you rather hear parties discussing things in a friendly manner, as opposed to arguing and trying to force their point on others?
