I was a conductor for the railroad and we were taking a train from Beaumont to Houston. In the distance I could see something on the tracks, because of where we were I knew they had to be cows. I grew up ranching cattle so I knew they were not gonna move. I asked the engineer to slow down, but he just said that if he just blew the whistle enough they would move. We hit four cows, not one of them even looked our way before it happened. When we got to Houston I finally got a chance to survey the carnage. Not much blood, but TONS of bovine excrement all over the front of the lead locomotive, and a little on the second unit.

One of my favorite childhood memories is a road trip. Back in 93-94, after placing first place in my age group at the state championships Tae Kwon do tournament, I won a spot at the Junior Nationals held in Dayton, Ohio.

So my parents drove me and my brother and sister up to Ohio, from Fort Lauderdale Florida, so I could compete in the tourney. I don't remember much of the details of the trip, ended up not placing, but when I think back to that trip, and to what lenghts my parents went to, just so their son could follow his dream, it really makes me realize how much they love me.

My dream trip is a trip with my Dad. I want to ride our Motorcycles up the bear tooth highway. Shoot over to Washington and then down the Pacific coast Highway, swing over to New Mexico hit up Carlsbad and then Roswell then head back home.

Going to have to do it soon. He's not getting any younger. I want to get a street glide to do the trip though. Thats going to cost me.
