Hey, I didn't miss it. I was out to dinner with the Mrs. We had Indian food.
We have four boys, so any time we can get away is worth it! Very cool ...a hot date away from the family. I always tell Patti that we should have taken pictures...a passing/fleating memory LOL. Good for you Glad you could join in My wife has had a recent epiphany. She said a wife also needs to be her husband's "girlfriend". Dogs...I have a knife newbie question for ya. I recently overbought a few knives of similar sizing, and realized I would never use them. I'm not much for collecting, and that goes for most of the things in my life. I like to use things...if it doesnt get used, it must mean there's no use for it (my personal philosophy). That being said, I have a DMCG that is off to MashedCat for a new drop-leg sheath...and I also have a DMLE. But, I can't figure out why I'd ever use the DMLE!!! Maybe to cut steaks in the kitchen? It's a nice knife...and it feels good in the hand...and it's purdy.
So, the question....how do you determine which knives to keep or use? Do you have a different philosophy regarding keeping certain knives that you don't use or don't plan to use...aesthetics, collecting, investment? What say you?

It's been a long time since I drove awaywhere out of state. I really think I'm going to have to plan to roll out. As mentioned earlier, I would still want to hang out around a bunch or steel happy Yard dogs even if I could buy anything.

Max Hmmm, right now I'm at a point where I have 1 knife in each size category (still could use a small one (mud puppy maybe)), at this point though, unless it is better than what I have, its for collection and resale

Ish I will rarely get rid of a knife. I stash them in emergency kits or let them sit. I have had a few knives sitting around for years not getting much use. Then I find that its the perfect knife for some obscure use. I don't jave a lot of knives compared to some. The only knives i have ever thought about selling were Collectors knives that just were never meant to be used. I haven't done it yet though.
