Has anyone determined from what Dan stated in the announcement, that if I am a test teamer AND retired military, am I limited to three knives at the discount price? It's great fun trying to parse Dan's communiques.

Rack: Not an expert of course, but he said 3 per person, or at least inferred that somewhere I believe.

Not sure if any one else is, but I know that I am having a hard time finding consistent info on the regulator release. I understand that the time has yet to be announced, but my questions deal more the mere chance of being able to buy one. I have heard that these are under the “new plan” (like the S5), yet I have also read that numbers are limited which to me, sounds contradictory. Maybe I am just misunderstanding something here so I guess I look to you all for help. I am not a TT person, but am military. With that being said, I qualify for the $89 price, correct?

Second, I am unable to constantly be checking the computer (I can get on at least once a day) and am wondering if that means that there is a very good chance (hence “ganza” silliness) that I may miss out on the military discount and have to pay the retail of $130, is this correct?

Third, anyone know what the policy is as far as “proving” I am military? Do I need to “pre-register” my credentials or is this something that is done at time of order, or after order is complete? Also, anyone know how will we go about proving we deserve the discount? Will a scan of my oath count? Any other ideas (there is something that doesn’t sit too well with scanning my CAC card and putting that as an attachment).

Anyway, sorry for all the questions and thanks for the help.

Sorry for any confusion. The Mil over run is on on the old plan. Once we get it on the site tonight or tomorrow, you will place your order and we will ship accordingly.

If you are military, police, fire or rescue you will need to send Renee a valid ID and she will apply the discount. Failure to provide this will result in the knife being shipped at the retail price and or canceled. If there are concerns of e-mailing the information you can mail (Post office)the info to Renee. All information is treated as confidential. By the way, the discount will be applied to those who are no longer serving (retired, discharged and so on) as long as appropriate ID is provided

Test Team Members will be validated from there signed agreements.

The standard Regulator (non-overrun) will be managed in the new model format.

There will be instructions posted on the order site

I hope this helps

Dan

PS; I think if you check once a day that you will be in good shape

Dan, you ARE thanking us, All of us with this "special deal". No one said you had to do it. No one would have ever known if you had not mentioned it and you could have "earned" the extra money (hey,10 bucks per knife WILL add up). But, you chose to give up a larger profit to provide, to give back, to us, ALL, your customers.

Again, I say a much deserved (specially in todays money hungry corporate world) THANK YOU for your hard earned "Product to price ratio" knives.

Sweet! Thanks for the clarification Dan, and thanks for the discount too (you'd be surprised how many "for military" items/companies do not offer such a gracious military discount policy) . Can't wait for the blade and thanks also for taking some of the stress off but making enough/limiting quantities so that more people can have a shot of a great knife at a wonderful price!
