with all this talk about the RMD i cant wait to get mine!

I've wanted the HRLM (and soon after the RMD) when I first found out about Bussekin blades, but now I'm keen on swords. Love my Waki, praying for a Scrap Yard sword, and awaiting for the return of the Busse Ruck, which I hope will come up with Jerry's new business plan.

I received my confirmation tday from Eric. Says 4-6 weeks- but I really took my time picking out knives and color combos. I ordered a good load like Jim did- but might add a set of Wardens.Great buy at that price <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

a tanker grey with black canvas HRLM is looking really nice now. but i must resist temptation or i wont be able to get a dereg!

I really fancy a RMD as I've never actually purchased a blade from Swamp Rat (I do own a tan Camp Tramp & M9Le (Kudos to Knife Guy for that beauty!)) I've just ordered a pair of Regulators & have a pair of S5LE's ~ money is tight and was worried that the RMD might be a little too close to the INFI S5??
Dogs.....should I get a RMD while they are still available or does the S5LE outshine it?

The Ratmandu and Scrapper 5 feel very different in the hand. While the S5 is a lighter knife, it balances right at the blade/handle junction. The RMD balances on the first finger and just feels right to me. I don't think the RMD can do anything the S5 can't, but if you can swing one, I'd recommend getting a RMD.

if you can afford it get it. if you end up not liking it you can always sell it and at least get your money back if not more.

Thanks for your thoughts Vic, I might just have to pull out the stops & order myself one! I fancy canvas micarta & maybe that moss or black blade?
I do love my S5LE however.....can a person have too many 5" blades? : ))

I don't know. I keep buying new ones, but the RMD remains my favorite. I like the S5 a lot too, and put mine though some tough tests to prove that it was up to SYKCO standards. There were those Dumpster Mutt fans who were skeptical that a 3/16" thick Scrapper could hang in there. It can, and so can the RMD.
