My Dumpster Mutts and HRLM came in today. The DM is without question, the most rugged small knife I own, and I own a few. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/EDC002-1.jpg) It is much thicker than the CS, SOG, and SRHRLM. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/EDC003-1.jpg) The Dumpster Mutt is a little brute of a combat/survival knife.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Kraz, i'm sure Karnack would say this with more panache but..
i've always felt the HRLM (and its Howling Rat predecessors before it) are superb EDC blades..
i really think the Mutts are destined to be Great EDC blades.. and that folks who didn't jump on them are gonna Kick themselves.. Hard!
i didn't realize the Mutts were gonna be such a handy dandy size! cannot contain my excitement!
DOH! and Horn Dog's spine shots just multiplied that excitement!!
> Andy, Are you SEEING any of this?? Are you getting as excited as *I* am?? i am Drooling here Andy!! and your talk about Holwing Fat started the drool!

The handle is on the small side for me, but I can live with it. I thought the same about the DF at first, but it worked out fine in actual use. I do prefer the S6 handle to the DM, though.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

The HRLM fits my hand better, but the DM is such a unique knife. One will be my back up swamp knife. When I get the kydex, I'll choose. Either way, they are both winners.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Thanks for the pics Can't wait for mine to get here! Hoping to get it wrapped up in Kydex by the weekend if it arrives today or tomorrow.

How long do you think we will be waiting Cold One?
I am really looking forward to it getting here. I am very happy with it's size because I to was thinking it would be like the S6 but 1 inch smaller. I am thrilled that it is more like a thick bad a$$ed EDC. I am totally getting a good sheath and am going to EDC it. It will be a great blade to have with you if the stuff hits the fan. I saw Bear Grylls hitting the spine of his blade with a ROCK to baton through a log and thought "I bet the Mutt would handle that abuse way better than the piece crap he was using". I have always wanted a Howling FAT but the new Mutt (I am calling my personal one Wide Boy)is even better.

I am figuring another week to two weeks Unsub. I received a knife from SR that I ordered on the 23rd and when you factor in my location, you should have it a good couple of days before me!

> Andy, Are you SEEING any of this?? Are you getting as excited as *I* am?? i am Drooling here Andy!! and your talk about Holwing Fat started the drool! Oh yeah. I thought of another small thick blade from the Swamp. The SAR Rat. It’s ¼” thick too like the HF. And the DM is bigger and thicker than it too! The handle is on the small side for me, but I can live with it. I agree. Same as the HR and Coot. It’s a little small, but manageable and not uncomfortable. The HRLM fits my hand better, but the DM is such a unique knife. I agree. I think I’ll carry the DM for a while cause it’s new, then later I’ll probably rotate it and the HRLM. I have always wanted a Howling FAT but the new Mutt (I am calling my personal one Wide Boy)is even better. I was thinking “Fat Ba$*ard” myself.
