What ever happened to the contest and the winner ?

Good point buddy, what did happen to that ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

There were some awesome suggestions and it seems this post is only going to go over those all again !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
I missed fc's question the first time around. But clearly the question needs to be asked. Didn't we already go through this exercise? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Dan asked us mods to pose the question again. I don't know what happened with the contest. I guess we'll find out pretty soon. Dan is aware of the previous threads about new Scrappers. But he also is aware that we have a bunch of new dogs in the Yard and wanted their ideas as well.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

In checking the old thread I noticed I still want the same thing.

Funny. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.

I agree. I'm not always in the position (or interested, frankly) to get every release... but when I am it's nice to know it's not a fight to get one.

Me too. I have to say the new Busse plan seems to be working quite well

Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

Tanto please.

Something the size of the Tali-Whacker but with a choil like the Regulator.

A single guard would be preferred.

Have the blade as thick as possible all the way to the tip for prying / penetration.

-Stan

Yes on Tali-Whacker Tanto and THICK
I would also like a SR-77 knife.(my first two are sr-101, dereg & RMD)

Hey I know I'm kinda new around here, but you know what would be awesome? A Scrap Yard lumber dog, or a SR-77 hatchet! Something alone the lines of this thing: http://images.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/timberline/images/tm6013.jpg

Not sure about dimensions, but small enough to take back packing or hiking or even belt sheathed but as tough as all your other knives. A good hatchet with a Res-C handle, a hammer head on one side of the blade and a sharp edge on the other with a nail puller. I keep hearing about people wanting some serious chopping power and talking about these monster knives, and as cool as that idea is, it wouldn't have anywhere near the practicality of a good hatchet! The head could be a full half an inch thick, maybe more followed by a thick, 12 inch long colomn of steel clothed into a Regulator-comfort-equivalent res-C handle, with the whole thing being made out of solid hardened SR-77. This thing would put any these monster knee to shame in terms of raw chopping power, and it wouldn't weigh a billion pounds.

Once again a 4" drop point, 154 steel with "roomie" handle.... And full flat.... In a pure hunting forum a 4" blade reigns supreme in the outdoors vs other various sizes for multiple tasks in a poll... The Busse family community is actually fairly quite small... In a poll that had over 1000 votes only 2... Yes 2 even knew what Busse combat was... Why not make a nearly perfect hunter/utility and open the door to a bigger target audience. Nearly everyone wants to stay on the "cheaper side" but are willing to pay more for edge holding capabilitys... Dan has proved he can do this, and scrapyard fits the bill perfectly.

Maybe you guys wanting a sword might wanna consider the Waki? I know it's $$$ but why duplicate a category that's already available?

I'm similar with Skrunks except I would really like to see an SR-77 axe with a long enough handle to get two hands on for maximum chopping power. I mean if you had that and a Reg/Dereg out in the sticks, what else would you need?
