I have done the Vinegar and potato patina. They both work. The blade doesn't look as good but you have something there to protect the finish. You shouldn't have to do it if it's INFI since they are pretty rust resistant...

There are a few vids on youtube about forcing patinas. One guy used mustard to create a thin stripe and dots(?) The dots didn't look good (IMO) . Another he did with a vinegar soaked clothe and diagonally wrapped the blade to create wide stripes. That one looked SWEET. Both were on Bark River Bravo 2's.
