If one had an ruger 10/22 in .22LR, ar-15 in .223, a 1911 in .45 ACP, winchester model 7 in 30-06, 12 gauge remington 870 and a 45-70, you could have all your bases covered.

But, what fun would that be?

I have the first 3 and a FN Police Shotgun.

Cool Tag. I think I'd like to do the same. Not sure if I should just try it myself or not (on a cheapy). I have a D2 blade that I convexed on sand paper. I need a strop now. Took a long time but it's a hair popper now. That was a $50 blade and only 4" so it was kinda easy for a first try.

Saint, I struggle with the same thing.

Thanks St. Will update you guys next week.

How is BC today?
Beautiful! Till about a half hour ago. The clouds are rolling in and they look to be packin' thunder.

Got a note from Horn Dog. My DFLE and YKLE are being worked on today. They both went to Georgia to meet HDs belt sander!!!

NICE!!! Post Pics when you get em back! I love to see sharpened knives...Especially when HD does it!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I've seen his other work and was drooling...

I'll definitely post them on return.

Simple, robust and proven effective. What more can you ask for? Those will provide several lifetimes of service. And you can find ammo anywhere.

The steel on my khukuri is very stubborn. I have an ok edge but I want to strop to a polished edge. Bigger bite means less work. Call me lazy!!

I started practicing on an Ontario that I picked up for $11 off eBay. I would not trust my skills on a better knife.

I fall into the camp of 'the sharpening challenged'.

Problem is similar to the knife one. You can always do the mental justification for another one...
