depends. if you want the one knife that can also do regular cutting tasks, i would recommend the RTAK2. i had one and foolishly sold it.

i subscribe more to the dedicated chopper, dedicated cutter, and if could only have one chopper it would be the Carbon V LTC. combine that with a spyderco, victorinox, or the king of all cutters, the M2000.



since the LTC is out of production, i'd give the villager him imps or the SK5 khukri a shot.

I have a few more minute before I have to go..

i have an SK5 trail master and i think it's great steel. maybe better suited to chopping blades than carbon V was.

ive never had one. ive been wantign to order a few to use as steak knives... my parents bought a set of all micro serrated kitchen knives (and i mean everything is serrated) and i HATE them. im sure theyed be pretty easy to keep sharp and hold their edge well and for a long time, being their only purpose.
