I like DogTired's logic. That way if you don't like one, just take it back.

Hey Sumo.

Seeing there are few gun lovers here, I have a question:

Eotech 552 or Trijicon RX30?

Need some help deciding...

why decide? get 'em both!

And there lies the problem....I did but I can really afford to keep one. I like them both and am not sure which one to get rid of...

a couple questions then, Precision or Speed? Battery a concern? Do you want to have to switch it ON when you want to use it?

Home defence/ close quarters use so speed is important. Battery may be a concern but not primary. Switch is a consideration.

Battery in a 552 is easy since it is AA. No big deal to find and you can get anywhere. The Triji tritium will start going dim after a while.

and I was assuming that you had yet to purchase either sight... Hmm... well, you could always give me one! I just had a birthday! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'd go with the 552. it uses a AA battery right? you can find a AA in just about any kitchen on the planet.

Eotech is a one push deal unless you are adjusting for light/dark.

I have had both and would take the Eotech 552 any day. The Triji is nice but was never bright enough for me in bright light.

Yes. That seems to be the issue. It washes out against bright backgrounds.

Exactly why I got rid of mine. I found out on a sunny snow covered day.
