lol, yeah, they're doing a number on my Sam Adams too, lol. Well, it's simple, and not far off of a white russian.
in a short glass
1 measure vodka
1 measure kahlua or equivalent. I use this stuff called Kamora, it's about 2/3ds the price, and doesn't have the chocolatey taste to it. makes for a slightly less sweet drink, but doesn't ruin it either.
fill the difference with half and half
add a splash of coke to taste.
double (or triple in my case... it was an accident, I swear!) the amounts for a tall glass.
I love this drink, it's almost like alcohol with ice cream Some folks find a standard Caucasian to be too "rich". I've actually found that if you take any standard volume of glass, and fill it 1/4 vodka, 1/4 kahlua, then the remaining 1/2 with 2% milk....you'll end up with a more "light" mixture that still gives the taste you're after. Kindof gotta tailor to your own likings, like anything. Just wanted to throw that out for anyone that finds half and half too rich.

Another point of note...when you transition to the 2% milk mixtures...they don't sit as "heavy" on your stomach, and you can drink alot more <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Ishi has a good point, the half and half can make for an overpowering drink, expecially if you wind up mixing alcohols. Ever had a Green Fairy (absinthe), and then turned around and had a White Russian? BAAAAD JUJU! of course, absinthe doesn't really mix well with anything else except for maybe mountain dew (it's the green color, I think) Like he said, tailor it to your tastes. I use a pinch less vodka and a tad more kahlua personally.
