The operable word is TRIED. When you had to be at work at 0700 after waking up in the back of a bar and not having any idea where you were, it lead for an exciting time and you didn't HAVE time for breakfast. Oh and Should I mention trying to load bombs after all that does not make for a very enjoyable day.

Well Tom, we Did Drop a rack of 3 500 pound bombs on the concrete from about 3 ft one day. Never could figure out why everybody took off running! Can't get far enough when 1500 pounds of High Explosive an shrapnel goes off a foot and a half from the family jewels!

Never did figure out why they fell off. The indicator showed that they were locked into place. And Yeah, Tom, it was a good one. I never saw it coming!

It was hard to "fight the urge". But we could never have gotten far enough fast enough. Like I said, the fell about a food and a half away from us. ALMOST landed on our feet! They just bounced a couple times. We just scratched our heads, hauled them back up and tried it again and this time when the indicator said they were locked in, they were. Funny thing is one of the "safety" checks (yeah right) was you were supposed to TRY and shake them off by hand so IF they were to come off early it would only be from a couple three feet and SHOULD be safe (As in not explode). BOMB LOADERS HAVE THE MOST FUN!
