i used to ell my customers that the word "better" is a tricky word. it's not having what's better but about you having what's better for you. good gear is good gear...

i honestly don't feel knives have come that far along in the last fifty years. outside of spyderco making things lighter and legal, or victorinox adding implements, the hollow ground clip point of the buck 110 pretty much had cutting mastered while being pocketable.

don't think knives will go much further except to cater to style like the big, overbuilt, "military" folders are doing now. although the quality and materials are excellent, they're not great performers with respect to cutting.

trying to find that out now. it's basically an acoustic electric gutiar with a magnetic pickup on the top, and some solid state chorus, reverb, and overdrive.

solid state distortion typically turns me way off. no way they're putting a quality overdrive in it. i'd rather they left it out.

very few can pull that all off. at best i would think it's cool to play with but pretty useless for serious applications.
