Ok, random question. Something I have been thinking about for a little while now. I have never been hiking or actually camping before. I am probably going to go on a couple of day trips pretty soon. I mostly wear steel toe boots all day everyday. But lately I have been wearing tennis shoes. Which would be better for hiking? Depends on the terrain. We do need to get out soon for a overnighter.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Yeah, I really wish that I had had the opportunity to have been in boy scouts when I was younger! But I guess now is as good a time as any to catch up! Tried the cub scouts for a bit but it got in the way of sports, lake time, etc. I do wish i had stuck it out though.

I kinda want to wait till my Reg and Dereg show up before I go on a hike, but I don't know when I will get them. I can't wait.
