had a thing on the news last night about company selling bear proof curb cans. they showed a big ole brown bear unable to get in. to got me to wonder why was that on here cause we don't have brown bears, and black bears aren't much of an issue in this part of the state. raccoons, possums yeah, bears not so much

Bear watching from the truck is cool.Only had one opportunity,but it was great.Got out & took pics.My brother was freaking for me to get back in the truck.The bear couldn't care less,just kept munching the grass.

I remember as a kid my parents and I went to Yellowstone, now this is back in the mid to late 60's. Dad and I got out and dad started filming (8mm) a black bear and her 2 cubs raiding a campground. Then the bear started across the road and I beat feet back to the station wagon (a falcon).

Skunk Proof works for me! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Although a bear WAS seen in a tree late last summer 5 miles from our house. And Patty and I DID see one on the back side of Mingo last year.
