I like the balance better and the rope cut Micarta is very nice. I also like the blade shape and the rounded choil. Not to say the S5 is a bad knife, those are just my preferences. I need to get some more dirt time with it though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

how much better is than the s5? The balance of the RMD feels a lot better to me. Cutting wise they both seem to be about the same. Handle material for grippiness goes to the S5.
