There have been a few nado's so far but they have went north and south of me. The thing is that it is never over because there is another storm rolling south of us. Then the weatherman says tomorrow can be like this all day. Got to love it. Thanks for the thoughts, I have my bag and stuff ready to grab if need be.

Jeez, livin' in Tornado alley must be a real thrill ride. Never knowing if one's going to hit your area or not. The last time we had a nado here in CO was over a year ago I think.

Well the weathermen are getting better at tracking the storms, nado's, and getting word out about them now. When I was a kid all you got was the siren and that was generally only a short warning. I guess the weathermen now are more of a scientist than 205 years ago LOL.

I was thinking about getting some Kydex and making a sheath for my Gil Hibben Karambit. I generally carry it as a defensive knife, it deploys alot like a KaBar TDI LE, but fits my hand better. the only problem is, with IWB carry, the leather sheath that came with it is starting to fall apart. barely even holds the knife securely anymore. Anyone who's worked with Kydex have any suggestions? Lemme see if I can get a pic of the kniff up.

ECF, have you tried heating it up in the oven or use a heat gun to get the sheath malleable? You can make your own press really easy and reform it. Worth a shot.

Animals are great about that. excellent early warning systems. My cat always disappeared when the old In-laws were coming by... lol. Also had a Boxer (Bully Breed, a friend of mine owns her) warn me of a Cougar that was stalking us last time I was up Old Stage Road. She was running ahead of me on the leash, then suddenly pulled in close and stayed there, tail between her legs. He never got close, especially once he knew I knew he was there, but MAN did my adrenaline spike. I really need to keep my camera on me when I'm out there. All the cool stuff happens when I'm ill prepared, and I know it's "Pics or it didn't happen", lol
