Thanks! I have always liked knives, but they were always cheap, almost single-use it seemed at times, knives. But now that Sumo and another buddy of mine have been showing me their Bussekin knives, I'm hooked! But I do intend on putting every knife I get through its paces and posting the pictures to prove it. I'm one of those people that collects useful things! I have never seen the point in spending money on something that isn't useful!

Well unfortunately, that is my buddy and his boot in the picture. So I don't know how he sliced his boot, but I once had a slice like that in one of my boots and it was from splitting firewood and the axe glancing off the wood and hitting my boot. All I was thinking at the time was "Thank you Lord for steel toe boots"!

The main reason I wear steel-toes is for in the shop to "prop-up" plate steel as a cantilever, to either cut or otherwise manipulate the steel. Hehe...works in a jiff and I don't have to search around for something.

I used to do that too. Not with steel, but anything that I had to carry that was heavy and I didn't want to set it down hard to keep my fingers from getting smashed. So I know exactly what you mean!
