I wonder how much longer I'll be able to carry my ex's kids like that. Miss B is six, now, and weighs 45 pounds. Her brother is 3, and weighs 30.

I better make the most of it while it lasts.

Yes you should, they will one day get "to big" size and age wise (they think) to do that.

Thank you, very much. I appreciate you saying so. I try hard, with my photography.

Well Mike, your photography shows you DO care about what you are doing. Your pictures show that it is more than JUST a job to you.

By the way, I photographed a Northern saw-whet owl chick on the nest, the day before yesterday. And while I was out on that excursion, I saw hundreds and hundreds of Risso's dolphins, and a mother a baby gray whale, and lots of otters, and a mother harbor seal with three young pups, and so much more. It was a delightful trip.

We still need to get her one of those 28-135 zoom lens though I think. She went go our daughter in-laws baby shower and had to use the 18-55 lens and was just not satisified with it. She said she wishes she had a bit more zoom to it and that the 75-300 was just to big and cumbersom to cart around in a small space with so many people but is nice for "the great out doors"!

Oh man, Patty would just die to see all that many animals on a trip.

I just sold a 28-135 a few weeks ago, to help fund this computer. They're nice lenses. I had forgotten how nice, until I was preparing to sell it.

It was the most dolphins I've ever seen. Maybe more than the total number I've seen, before, combined. It was astonishing. There was a large pod of them chasing a school of fish around the cove and the bay. They were just everywhere, in huge numbers. I'd never seen anything like it, before.

I saw something like that on Animal planet or Nat Geo once. They would work in unison with each other making the fish gather into a ball and then strike on the outskirts of the ball until the fish just more or less accepted their fate an didn't try and bust loose anymore until finally the ball was all ate up.
