Randy, I sold my really big choppers. The biggest one I have left is my NMSFNO, which is plenty big. (Actually, it's about the same size as a Battle Mistress E, which used to be considered the big chopper in the Busse line.)

In any case, with the way I chop, the size of the chopper becomes less important.

I remember that you said you had sold off some blades in that past. Isn't that somewhere between a 7 and 9 inch blade?

Yes, it is. I don't have the measurements in front of me, nor the knife in front of me, but I'd guess the NMSFNO blade is around 8.5 inches.

Good size. Should do about anything you want it to.

It is, indeed, a good sized outdoor user. It can handle most tasks, well enough. I also have the Street scrapper 4 for the small tasks.

I also still have my HOG ASH, by the way. Even though it is shorter, it chops powerfully, because it is so heavy.

I have seen pics and read about the ASH, AND the skinny ASH as well.

The HOG ASH is a tank, at 1/3 inch thick. Mine also came
with a great sharp edge,and it really does cut great (thought, it can wedge).

Before I got "into" the Busse boys my choppers were a BK&T Magnum camp, an Original SOG Tigershark and my Lainhart Machete (9 1/2 inch blade). They can't hold a candle to the Dog Father though. MAN that thing hits hard!
