Hey Mag--how are you?
Tag--I just have to finish some paperwork up tomorrow and then summer break. First summer in a long time that I have not taught summer school or worked full time somewhere. A friend is moving his store in July, so I should get some part time work in that but otherwise I get to see if I can pick some oddball jobs up for new steel and guns. I got a feeling the camping and short road trips will be on the increase this summer LOL.

That is what I am thinking and the wife is pushing me too. I think she wants me to get started on 10 years worth of honey-do's. Man, real work is easier LOL.

Mag, if you are hungry don't look at the chicken thread or the jerky thread. I am starving now.

When I was laid off last year for 2 months I did all the work outside that needed doing - all the beds in the garden; recoating the pavement etc. I lost a ton of weight and was in great shape when I went back to my desk job.

Teaching does have some really nice benefits. I take less pay throughout the year but get it paid over summer break. I like it for the above reason--just in case other things fall through. Too be honest, the halls will be spooky tomorrow because I am used to hearing a bunch of loud kids--and I will miss the ones that want to be there. Mag, your right--the wife speaks and I listen..........................she puts up with a lot from me with all the hours I put in at school, practice, football games, wrestling duals, wrestling tournaments etc. I am afraid that it is time to pay the piper so to speak!

Rebel Yell? Is it worth trying - or just pure headache material? Not bad in my opinion. I like it a lot better than Jack, but not as well as Woodford or Makers Mark--then again it is cheaper too. Kinda like cigars, it would be a good everyday one. For me at least. Jerry Busse is the one who mentioned it to me and Dan confirmed. Said the folks in the shop really liked it too. Go figure. May have to give it a try. As we have discussed, I like my single malts but I do have a bottle Makers in the cupboard which gets hit every now and again. Rebel Yell is something that is good to share when you got someone that is not used to single malt or more refined things. I dunno...Rebel Yell is like Jack Black used to be...before Urban Cowboy ruined the aging process.... Makers Mark is good.... but not worth the price difference.. Rebel Yell is called the bourbon drinkers secret because of the price / quality ratio... like Scrap Yard knives... Single Malts are usually referred to Scotch...not bourbon... I think you mean single barrel... single malt scotches are not necessarily better than blends... (see Johnny Walker Blue) just different... I have had many of the so called "greats"... it is a matter of taste.. I have had every blend of Johnny Walker... Black is my favorite... is it the best?... by review, no....by price, yes.... but the difference in price between it and the others is not worth the difference in taste... (IMHO) just like cigars... I live in Tampa... the cigar capital of the world... I have had Cubans, Dominicans, Hondurans, etc... if you knew what I smoke you would laugh...(if you are into cigars) but I know what I like... to each his own... Rebel Yell is a quality bourbon at a great price.... YMMV.... Oh... by the by..I can drink ALL of you under the table in case you are wondering... you are bush league... amateurs.... bwhahahahahahaha, just kidding... maybe? Doc

Well, I told Stevo that I would take him camping this summer too. So I will have to get away on some sunday and mondays to help a fellow bro out. Besides, he is waiting on a Reg and Dereg so I can let him sling mine for a while---------he will have fun, I will have fun, get my brother and some of his buddies along too and it will be some serious fun. BTW, Stevo is hooked on Bussekin and I gave my brother a Regulator, so you know what boat we sit in.
