a little, unfortunately FAS was one of the main causes and it isn't something that can be cured.

Actually, I guess that is now FASD, they changed the name a few years ago. Use to be called Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The name is suppose to better reflect that there is a large range of symptoms and issues associated with it.

Nop not yet, having do deal with a 55 year old males diabetic emergency. Trying to get the first responders on scene until EMS can arrive from about 8 miles away.

But I would gather that it is like being addicted to alcohol and ALL the related/assorted problems that can bring about. Mental and Physical problems that COULD/DO result in Gene level birth defects. Maybe you will be able to follow my very unscientific explination of this.

Sounds about right. Most children with severe FASD never seem to mature past about 7 or 8 y/o intellectually.
